Rev. Dr. Johnny Ray Noble

Rev. Noble has dedicated his life to championing equity, economic empowerment, and educational opportunities in under-served communities. He also serves on several boards and commissions throughout the City of Columbia and Richland County.

Biography

Rev. Johnny Ray Noble, has previously pastored churches in Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas. He serves in the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Association, SC Baptist E&M Convention, and is involved in Baptist denominational work on the national level. Presently, as the pastor of Second Nazareth Baptist Church, he encourages people to strive for true spiritual transformation and Christian discipleship in their lives. During his pastorate at SNBC (Sept 2008-Present) the church has grown spiritually and numerically within its ministries, membership, facilities, weekly radio broadcast, and virtual teaching ministry.

Rev. Noble has dedicated his life to championing equity, economic empowerment, and educational opportunities in under-served communities. He also serves on several boards and commissions throughout the City of Columbia and Richland County.

Rev. Noble has an extensive educational background and a myriad of learning experiences. He served in the United States Army for ten years and is a proud veteran. He has earned a BS in Business Management from Wayland Baptist University, MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Cornerstone University, and a D.Min. from South University. He will begin Ph.D studies in preaching at Anderson University, CLAMP Divinity School in August 2023.

Most importantly, Rev. Noble is a child of God concerned with “equipping the saints” for ministry by training clergy, church leaders, and laity to serve in the Kingdom of God. He maintains a solid faithfulness to the Scriptures and encourages Christians to live by God’s Word.
